You’ll be an essential part of our success, working closely with clients, consultants, contractors and project managers to ensure the design process runs seamlessly from concept through to completion.
As Design Manager, you will:
- Lead and coordinate the full design process, from pre-construction to delivery.
- Manage design teams, workflows, and documentation to ensure everything is aligned and auditable.
- Oversee design workshops, risk reviews, and value engineering sessions.
- Maintain and manage the design issues register, ensuring clarity and accountability across all disciplines.
- Ensure effective communication of design protocols and delivery timelines with all stakeholders.
- Support BIM model reviews, clash detection, and assist in ensuring CDM compliance.
- Collaborate with the commercial and project teams on design changes and cost implications.
- Contribute to a positive, proactive project culture aligned with MiCiM’s values.
About you:
- Previous experience managing the design process in a construction or engineering environment, ideally Data Centres.
- Experience leading design workshops and managing multiple stakeholders.
- Deep understanding of design risk, value engineering, and the importance of clear documentation.
- Team-based approach, promoting collaboration at every level.
